This notice explains how personal data is handled when you visit this portfolio or contact me.

Website access and hosting

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA.

When you visit the website, Netlify processes connection data required for its technical operation. This may include your IP address, the date and time of access, the requested address, referrer, browser type and version, operating system and request status information. Processing is necessary to deliver the website, ensure its stability and protect it against attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of this portfolio.

Netlify may also process data outside the European Union, particularly in the United States. Netlify cites the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses as safeguards. Further information is available in Netlify’s Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement. Netlify does not specify a single fixed retention period for all technical log data; according to the provider, retention depends on the purpose of processing, the type of data and legal requirements.

No Netlify analytics features, forms, Identity services or external log drains are enabled for this portfolio.

Fonts, images and videos

The website serves its font files, images and videos directly. No external font or video platforms are contacted to display them.

Cookies and audience measurement

The website itself does not set cookies or use analytics, advertising or tracking services. When you enter through the German homepage, your preferred browser language is checked locally to open the English version where appropriate. If you select a language using DE/EN, only that choice (“de” or “en”) is stored under “portfolio-language” in your browser’s local storage. It is used on later visits to the general entry point, is not used for analytics and is not transmitted to a server by the language script. The preference remains until you change it or delete the website’s data in your browser. Language switching still works when browser storage is blocked, but the preference is not saved persistently.

Contact by email

If you email me, I process your email address, the information you provide and, where applicable, your name to handle and respond to your enquiry. You provide this information voluntarily; without a contact address I cannot reply. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: my legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry. Where the enquiry concerns steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies.

Email correspondence is processed through iCloud Mail. For users in Germany, this service is provided by Apple Distribution International Ltd., Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland. Further information is available in Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Once the enquiry has been concluded, the data is deleted when it is no longer required for further correspondence and there are no statutory retention obligations or legitimate reasons for keeping it.

Links to other websites

The LinkedIn link is a standard external link. You only access the other provider’s website when you open it. That provider’s privacy notice applies to the processing of data there.

Your rights

Subject to the statutory conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.

Right to object: You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. To do so, please contact the email address given above.

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in your place of residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. For private-sector organisations in Bavaria, one such authority is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision .

This website does not carry out automated decision-making, including profiling.

About the use of AI

This portfolio contains images, illustrations and film sequences created with generative AI. Notices accompanying the relevant visuals and projects explain how it was used.

Portraits and illustrations

The drawings of Martin Wagner and the accompanying illustrations, including those in the Personal Brand Book, were created with generative AI. They illustrate ideas and are not documentary records of the situations shown.

VELORIS

VELORIS is a fictional brand project. Its staged imagery and film sequences were created with generative AI. The soundtrack was generated with Suno. The visuals do not document an actual airline operation.

Project visuals

The opening image for Wealthcap Research is an AI-generated setting featuring an actual publication. The report pages shown separately are original work samples. The Pfotenpass opening image combines an AI-generated everyday scene with the app design. It does not show a documented instance of use.
